Winnie & Walter Challenge

Ok so I'm a huge fan of Winnie & Walter stamps. But sadly, Sugar Rush is the only one I own! How embarrassing! So I'm entering their belated 2nd Birthday Bash competition to try and win a voucher! The exchange rate for the Aussie dollar at the moment is terrible, so a voucher would be nice! I have decided to enter the create your own background challenge. Seems how I only have the one stamp set I was limited to what I could do, but decided heat embossing the happy birthday sentiment repeatedly over a smooch background was the way to go! Keeping the background the focal point, I just coloured the cupcake with copic markers and layered it on vellum and glitter circles. Winnie & Walter, I hope you like my card!!

Stamps: Winnie & Walter - Sugar Rush

Springs In!

Hi there! I'm sharing today a card I made with the gorgeous digi Celebrate Joyfully. I coloured her with copic markers. I am no copic expert. I have never done any classes or watched videos, I just colour how I please, and on this one I coloured her face with different colours than I'm used to, and I love how much better it turned out. Funny that! I guess I'm just saying that for all you copic novices or those wanting to try copics, give it a go! And experiment! I have to say that Tiddly Inks images are BY FAR the best to colour.
Anyhoo, on my card I used papers from Kaisercraft's All That Glitters for the background. I watercoloured a piece of Tim Holtz paper and distressed the edges to lay on top of that. And I am a little obsessed with feathers at the moment. I'm not sure why! I picked some up at my local craft store for my kids to use and ended up using one myself! I think it's a perfectly sweet addition don't you think!

Stacks Of Happiness

Here is the final card I will show you from the magazine (Australian Papercraft Essentials - Issue 49). If you would like to see the others, and all the other wonderful cards, you can purchase it at your local newsagency! This image is a favourite of mine, because it can be used for Christmas OR birthdays. In this case, I did a monochrome birthday theme. This would look cute in so many different colours. I also couldn't help but add some messy silver thread behind the presents to look as if there was a whole other level of wrapping struggles yet to go.

Stamps: Gift Stack Birdbrain
Ink/Colouring tools: Copic Markers
Cardstock: Stampin Up - Pear Pizzez, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Smokey Slate. Copic - X-Press It
Accessories: Stampin Up - Silver Thread. Spotlight - Sequins. Pretty Pink Posh - Stitched Border die

Hope You Reel In A Wonderful Day

Here is the second card for my feature in Australian Papercraft Essentials this month. I used Fishing Birdbrain from From The Heart Stamps. I printed the image onto a rough watercolour cardstock. I coloured the bird in with prismacolour pencils. I wanted the texture to look rough so only coloured lightly. In keeping these cards simple I used some gold spray for the background and some burlap for tbehind the image. In yellow this could be a great card for a male or female don't you think!

Hi there! Today I have the first of 3 cards to show, as part of a feature on the birdbrain stamps from From The Heart Stamps. You can see this in the February issue (Issue 49) of Australian Papercraft Essentials magazine. I looove this first image. I wanted to colour the bird with bright colours so decided to match the background. And it was soooo quick to do. I just grabbed a few ink daubers and dabbed! Check out two more cards from this feature in my next post!
